Our philosophy
Our design philosophy is rooted in the belief that humans protect what they care for. By reconnecting people with nature through NUAGE, we aim to foster a deeper appreciation for the environment. This proximity to nature can inspire individuals to prioritize environmental protection globally.
NUAGE is an innovative solution addressing the global issue of plastic waste accumulation and environmental contamination. By recycling post-consumer plastic, NUAGE up-cycles waste into life-supporting products that naturally filter the air and enhance wellbeing.

Our Mission
NUAGE was created by MINDFUL SYNERGIES, a socially and environmentally responsible Company founded in 2008, in Vancouver, Canada.
Our mission is to meaningfully addresses the climate crisis by creating opportunities to regenerate biodiversity, and by orchestrating unexpected circular economies, up-cycling materials bound for the landfill into innovative and life-affirming products.

Who we are
The MINDFUL GROUP is a creative collective rooted in the belief that regenerative design can restore a mutually beneficial relationship between humanity and the Earth. It unites the strengths of MINDFUL ARCHITECTURE and MINDFUL SYNERGIES to design in deep collaboration with Nature.
As co-founders, Geneviève Noël and T. Maginnis Cocivera joined forces to amplify a shared commitment to addressing the Climate Crisis — merging creativity, purpose, and vision to foster a more harmonious future.
We are passionate regenerative designers, devoted yogis, and curious explorers who draw inspiration from the natural world and the wisdom of all cultures. We strive to live authentically — attuned to our inner rhythm and devoted to cultivating a spacious, intentional life in the midst of a hurried world.
As urban homesteaders, we are raising our two children in the coastal rainforest of North Vancouver. We deeply are grateful to our gracious hosts, the sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) and sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations for the opportunity to live, work and play within their unceded ancestral territory.

Our Journey
Growing up in a small village nestled in the eastern woodlands of Québec had a profound and lasting influence on my life. Immersed in the rhythms of the natural world, I spent my days exploring dense forests, climbing trees, listening to birdsong, and discovering the hidden lives of plants and animals. The forest was my classroom, my sanctuary, and my playground — a place where I could feel the pulse of life all around me. These daily interactions with the land nurtured in me a deep sense of belonging and reminded me that we are not separate from nature, but an integral part of a living, interconnected system. It was in those formative years, surrounded by the quiet wisdom of the trees, that I began to understand the importance of reciprocity, stewardship, and living in harmony with the Earth.

From Fashion back to the Forest
A long time ago — what feels like a previous life — I began my design career in the clothing industry in Montréal. I loved the creative process, but nature was calling me toward something closer to my purpose. I closed my small business and set out in search of purpose.
After exploring the world, my journey led me to the West Coast of Canada, where I spent over a decade tree planting — ultimately planting more than one million trees. Through every blister and rainstorm, I felt I was doing something truly meaningful for the planet.

Rooted in Regeneration
After ten years in the forest, I returned to university to combine my two passions — design and biodiversity — completing a degree focused on biodiversity interfaces like green roofs and living walls. I discovered the transformative power of design: not just to decorate, but to heal ecosystems, improve air quality, and reconnect us with the natural world where we belong.
In 2008, founded MINDFUL SYNERGIES to meaningfully address the climate crisis through Regenerative Design. Over the past 20 years, I’ve worked in the regenerative design space. My first patented, Cradle to Cradle®-certified system — SYMBIUS — has been installed worldwide through a long-standing partnership with Sempergreen BV.

But as beautiful and beneficial living walls are— they can be expensive to install, maintain, and easy to neglect. Let’s face it — who hasn’t killed a plant?
That’s why we created NUAGE — a regenerative, stylish, cost-effective and ultra-low-maintenance living wall planter that gives plastic waste a new purpose and helps everyone bring nature back into their lives.

From Waste to Wellness
NUAGE is proudly fabricated in Canada from post-consumer recycled plastic, ensuring that waste doesn’t just avoid the landfill — it gets transformed into something beautiful and useful.
Its organic, cloud-like shape houses a generous water reservoir, giving your plants up to one month of autonomy between waterings. Whether you’re a passionate plant parent or a total beginner, NUAGE makes it easy to succeed — and thrive.
Why “NUAGE”?
In French, “Nuage” means “cloud”. The name was inspired by the planter’s soft, organic curves — but also by something more personal.
Celebrating Neurodiversity
Growing up in conventional schools, my report cards often noted that I was inattentive or had my 'head in the clouds,' despite my strong academic performance. But what was perceived as absent-mindedness was, in truth, a deep inner focus — a quiet, reflective state and a drive to approach problems from a different angle.
Our industrialized society has long upheld a false hierarchy between focused and diffused attention, yet both are essential — especially in the creative process. Today, I would surely be diagnosed with ADHD, but I now see my neuro specificity as a gift: a unique way of perceiving the world that fosters the cross-pollination of ideas, the emergence of unexpected synergies, and the development of regenerative solutions.
As Einstein famously said:
“Problems cannot be solved at the same level of awareness that created them.”
Join Us
With NUAGE, we’re not just bringing plants back into our homes — we’re bringing hope back into our future.
Let’s put our heads back in the clouds — not to escape, but to imagine. To rethink. To design a better, regenerative world — together.
Let’s grow something meaningful together!
